PA State Council of Machinists News  63rd Annual PA State Machinist Council Convention Convenes6/3/2009 On Monday, June 1sh the PA State Machinist Council convened at The Holiday Inn Holidome in York, PA. The convention was jam packed with special guests including; IAMAW International President Thomas Buffenbarger, Eastern Territory General Vice-President Lynn Tucker and Transportation General Vice-President Robert Roach Jr. Convention attendees were permitted to ask Senator Robert Casey questions when his staff came to the hotel and set up a special telephone conference with the Senator. At the Convention dinner on Tuesday night State Council President Obie O’Brien and Secretary Treasurer John McLaughlin dedicated the 63rd PA State Machinist Council Convention in memory of District 98 DBR Tom Boger. Tom’s wife Linda and his three daughters, Jennifer, Danielle, and Erin were presented with a plaque honoring Tom’s years of service to the Machinists. On Wednesday, June 3rd the convention was wrapped up in due form. As soon as next year’s convention dates are finalized we will have them posted. |
